We are delighted to present “An Evening with Satoshi Sugie at Nogizaka Shin.” For the eleventh edition of this series, we welcome glass artist Satoshi Sugie.
All of Sugie’s works are made from lead-free crystal glass. Crystal glass can vary greatly in quality, but Sugie’s crystal is distinguished by its exceptional clarity and lustrous brilliance, as well as its strength and durability. His works combine beauty with genuine practicality.
He also makes full use of the unique qualities of glass to create a remarkably diverse range of forms. Every piece possesses a sense of refinement and pairs beautifully with Japanese cuisine. The fact that his work is used and admired by so many chefs is perhaps the best testament to this.
For this event, every dish will be served exclusively in glassware. How will Shinji Ishida, owner and chef of Nogizaka Shin, respond to this new challenge? We invite you to experience it for yourself at the counter, with the artist himself present.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming you.
