こちら「今焼黒」は柳下さんが発表されていた「カセ黒」の新型にあたります。
原料や焼成方法を変えるなど常に新しい試みをされてきて少しずつ変化がありましたが、今回は大きく変わりました。
赤みと揺らぎを帯びた全く新しい黒です。

ちなみに、「今～」というのは、「現在の～」という形でよく用いられます。
最近？ですと何代か忘れましたが、白井半七さんが「今乾山」なんて呼ばれていたとか。
これは、現在の乾山という意味で、半七さんの場合、乾山に迫る作品を作られていたことからそう呼ばれていたのでしょう。
柳下さんの「今焼黒」は長次郎の写しをしてきた中で、現在を生きる陶芸家柳下季器の黒として、ひとつの形に成ったという意味合いなのではないでしょうか。（たぶん）
守破離でいう「破」の域に踏み入れたと勝手に私は思っています。
